Nếu như tại Việt Nam, các từ khóa được tìm kiếm nhiều nhất tập trung vào lĩnh vực tin tức, giải trí, chứng khoán và công nghệ, thì trên thế giới, các từ khóa được người dùng internet tìm kiếm nhiều nhất đa dạng hơn.

Thống kê của Hiwise (hitwise.com) cho thấy, trong lĩnh vực công nghệ thông tin và internet, từ khóa paypal được đa số người dùng gõ để tìm kiếm. Trong lĩnh vực ô tô, honda là từ khóa được tìm nhiều nhất. Myspace thì chiếm luôn vị trí đầu của 2 mục: Quảng cáo internet và Blog/web cá nhân.
